Can I separate a voiceover from an image without deleting it! (SCHOOL PROJECT, HELP!!)

i recorded a voiceover to a placeholder image, but now i need to get rid of the image but i cant separate the two and i cant delete one without deleting the other. this is a school project due on friday and im worried ill have to start over again...

Hello plaidavalanche,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

In order to keep an already recorded voicover on an image, and then replace that image, all you need to do is simply drag the new photo on top of the placeholder, and select replace.

Add photos and video clips from iPhoto or Aperture - iMovie Help
