New MacBook Air previously connected to wifi without issue, now won't. All other wireless devices connected. Wifi symbol in me u bar has exclamation mark in it. Ran diagnostics etc without resolution.

New MacBook air previously connected to wifi without issue, now won't. Ran diagnostics etc., without resolution. All other wireless devices connect with ease. Wifi symbol in menu bar has exclamation mark in it. Looking in Network preferences indicates there is a connection to he network, however cannot open Safari, etc. Updated OS to Yosemite a week ago, no problems until today.

MacBook Air, OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)

1. Power off the router. Unplug it from the wall. Wait a while.

Plug it back to the wall. Power the router on. Wait until all the lights are lit properly. It will take a while.

Restart the computer.


Start up in Safe Mode.

2. Deselect Proxies if selected.


System Preference > Network > Advanced > Proxies Tab

Under "Select Protocol", uncheck any box if selected.

Click "OK" then "Apply”.
