Will iTunes Match work for music not available to be downloaded from iTunes Store?

I have music on my Iphone 6 and on my iTunes that is not available to be downloaded from the iTunes store. It is exclusively available on other download sites. Will ITunes Match work for this music?

HI

The music needs to be in your iTunes library on your Computer. If the music is not matched, it will be uploaded to the cloud subject to it being in an eligible format.
