Feb 8, 2016 10:32 PM in response to Gd5150by fantastic-mr-kevin,I'm having this same issue. I was wondering how to get into the Windows XP recovery console. My computer does not show the blue screen prompting you to press R. Mine shows a black screen asking if I would like to start Windows normally or use last known configurations.
I also do not know where to type the commands: /ScanOS, /FixBoot, /FixMBR and BCD rebuild
Hopefully it makes sense once I get to the recovery screen.
Are all these steps done on the Windows side, or some on the Mac side?

I can't get any further without it crashing. How do you use Bootrec.exe or Bootcfg from that screen?
Select 'Safe Mode with Command Prompt'.

Feb 10, 2016 10:54 AM in response to Loner Tby fantastic-mr-kevin,When I select that, it generates a list of stuff. And then crashes. Is there something I have to do while the list is on my screen?

Feb 10, 2016 7:53 PM in response to Loner Tby fantastic-mr-kevin,They all just cause the computer to restart as normal. I tried booting from the CD also. I can't figure out a work around. I have a backup from Time Machine from when I had Snow Leopard and it worked with that. But I needed to upgrade the OS to keep my apps functioning and that's when Windows stopped working. If I boot from a backup, I can access windows (probably... I've never done it) and work with system recovery there. But I don't know if it will do any good.
