Books shown as "Not on this iPad" are on the iPad

When I look at my Purchased books, some appear in a "Not on this iPad" tab. In this tab, the books have the 'cloud and arrow' download symbol next to them. When I tap the 'cloud and arrow', it switches to Downloading, but the download never completes.

When I look at the books in My Books, they are fine. They have no download symbol, and I can read them.

The list of books stuck in this limbo seems to be growing.

How can I fix this?

I had that problem but it seems to have fixed itself. You could try a reset ie hold the power and home buttons until the Apple logo appears. The only other thing I would suggest is not look at the purchased section. As long as they are in My Books then they have downloaded.

Some progress. Books still randomly appear with the cloud and arrow to show that I need to download them. But at least now, if I do tap to download them, they do eventually download.
