Final Cut will not shut down ..... stays in the dock and I have to physically reboot
MacBook Pro, iOS 8.2
TThe window is closed but the application remains active? Does it appear in the force quit window?
Yes it does but refuses to force quit .
Is there anything going on in the Background Tasks of FCP X.
Command-9
Al
Might have.... but once you quit the app you can't get in again .... it just stays in the dock and you have to manually reboot the mac
What version of Final Cut are you running and on what OS and on what hardware?
Russ
Ios 8.2
FCP 10.1.4
mac book pro
Hold down the option and command keys when you launch FCP to delete preference files/ It should also give you a clean library. Create a test project and then close. Does it work correctly?
Riuss
Nope that didn't work .... still stuck in the dock
Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you mean by stuck in Dock.
You reboot your Mac. Is FCP trying to open automatically (the icon bouncing)? Or is it just visible in the Dock?
Russ
When I quit fcp it closes the Application but the icon stays in the dock . when i try open it again out of aplications it says that FCP is still open . The only way to launch the Application again is to force a reboot
