Certified iphone cable may not be working reliably.

Hi everyone,

I just bought a lightning cable from Nubox in Singapore which is a Premium reseller of Apple. As i got home, i tried plugging it into my phone but to no avail. What it stated was "This cable or accessory may not be working reliably with this iPhone." I went to try it on my friend's phone and it worked. Also had my battery changed recently. I am sure that the cable i bought has a certified mFi as it is one of Apple's reseller in Singapore. I had a go with his cable and it worked so basically i'm not so sure what is going on as his iPhone worked with both cables but mine only worked with one. Is there any suggestions or troubleshooting i could go through to actually solve this problem?

What i've tried:

-Hard reset

-Restore

-Restore to factory default

-Updated to latest iOS

But it's still not working.
