Yes your Mac supports up to Mac OS X 10.5.8, and Safari version 5.0.6 is the latest that will run with it.

You can't run the latest Java or Flash, or even any Silverlight with it (meaning no Netflix).

You can't connect to iOS 6 or later with it.

Since you posted to the Mac OS 9 forum, and your model is over 1 Ghz, you only support Mac OS 9 through the Classic mode,

which does not offer full driver support for Mac OS 9 software graphics or printing and can't be accessed beyond Mac OS X 10.4.11 on the same partition, or external hard drive. You must have the original eMac installer discs to install Mac OS 9 on your Mac, if you haven't cloned it with Classic enabled yet.

Tenfourfox is a popular web browser for older PowerPC Macs, and there is this page describing how to get Flash running on those Macs:

What are you confused by? Please ask questions about any terms you aren't familiar with:

Classic refers to the environment that lets Mac OS 9.1 to 9.2.2 to sit on top of Mac OS X 10.0 through 10.4.11 without rebooting the computer.

Mac OS 9, refers to the Mac operating system from 1999 to 2001.

Mac OS X 10.5 to 10.5.8 would allow Mac OS 9 to stand on the same hard drive, and boot as its own operating system but you had to have an older eMac to support that feature.

Robert is correct.

Java, Flash, and Silverlight are add-on software that allow certain animation and video on the web.W

Apple changed the brain of its Macs from Motorola/IBM's PowerPC found on eMacs to Intel brains in 2006, when it discontinued the eMac lineup.

This significantly affected the compatibility of programs you could run on your Mac. So you aren't surprised by things you can or can't do, I'm explaining these things, so you can decide if it is worthwhile to jump to just a slightly newer operating system, or to get a newer Mac. Before you jump, backup your data.

Maybe Oregon trail or battle chess?

You would be better off running 10.4, Tiger. Tiger allow you to run classic games. That is apps from mac os 7, 8, & 9. Leopard does not let you run classic apps. I have Oregon Trail as a classic app. You have to have the Mac OS 9 software already installed on the machine. Max out memory.

Online version of Oregon Trail.

What disc are you talking about? Mac OS X? Apple never release a free version of 10.4 nor 10.5. 10.4 sold for $129 originally. Any download would be illegal and ill advised. May contain malware.

What OS are we talking about. Don't you already have Tiger? Not going to get much more out of 10.5. 10.4 runs tenfourfox so you can surf the web with the latest version of Firefox.
