Messages app shows 1 unread message, but no unread convos

The app in my dock show that I have 1 unread message. I have right clicked it and tried to click the number, but nothing happens. I have looked at the app and there are no unread messages in any of my conversations. Any ideas?

Hi,

In Applications/Utilities open the Activity Monitor.

In the list of Apps find the DOCK.

Highlight then use the Quit icon top Left.

Confirm a Force Quit.

This will make the DOCK disappear and then reappear and reappear at the top of the list in Activity Monitor.

This should clear the Dock Badge for the Messages app.
