Energy Saver set to never computer still sleeps
MacBook Pro 15-inch mid 2012
2.3 GHz Intel Core i7
OS X Yosemite 10.10.2(14C1514)
Energy Saver is set to never for computer sleep, Display set to 1 hr. Put hard disk to sleep is unchecked, wake for network access is checked. Internet is hard-wired. There are no scheduled sleep events.
Every morning I come to work to find my computer asleep. I have even tried setting a wake up (though no sleep is scheduled) for several hours before I come to work, but it's still asleep when I get here.
The problem I have is that I get many hundreds of emails a day through a Gmail account. I know Mac Mail and Gmail don't play nice, but I just can't stand Gmail's web-interface so I have it set up in my Mac Mail.
Every morning when I come in, because the computer went to sleep after I left and didn't keep up with Gmail, it can take anywhere from 30 minutes to a couple of hours before my new mail shows up. I have a Macbook Air at home that has no problem with it as I set it up on Power Sleep. I am gone all day, but when I get home my email is all caught up and when I wake up in the morning it is all caught up. No such luck on this MacBook Pro.
Any suggestions?
