Need to replace wifi card. For the life of me, I can't find the exact model # of wifi card I will need. Only that I need "AirPort Extreme (802.11g/n)," but when I search for that, I get all sorts of different shaped and sized cards that meet those specs.

What may help would be a visit to the iFixit folks website. You should be able to find your exact iMac model and what it will take to replace the AirPort Extreme card inside. They sell the cards as well.

I would try giving them a call at their support number. They may be able to help both identify the correct part and know where you can get a replacement. In addition, you may also want to consider getting a wireless USB adapter. You would use this instead of the internal card. There are a number of vendors providing these as well.
Yeah, I just bought the only USB Adapter that I could find that has drivers for Yosemite: the Netis WF2120; and it's pretty slow, which is why I thought it prudent to go ahead and look into replacing the wonky card instead.
