Q: not remembering usernames or "remember me" anymore

After Yosemite update, I have to re-enter my username on sites that would automatically remember them i.e Facebook, Bank of America... is there fix to this?

AutoFill

Safari > Preferences > Passwords

Enable AutoFill

Checkmark the box beside “AutoFill user names and password”.

AutoFill will not work when Private Browsing is on or if websites request not to.

But what if I don't want the password to autofill?. It used to only autofill username and then I'd still type in the password.
