Q: Convert my Apple ID from my aol email address

I keep getting emails telling me to convert my Apple ID from my aol email address, but when I login to iTunes nothing pops up to lead me through the conversion.  I also know 2 people who have not gotten this warning to change their ID.

It's not to convert your AOL email address account, that is not affected.

The email is for AOL username accounts (without the @aol.com on the end of it). If you have any iTunes purchases and/or a balance on that account then you need to convert it by the end of the month - to do that follow the instructions on the page that you posted from : https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT204268

e.g. if currently logged into a different account then log out of it (Store > Sign Out menu option on your computer's iTunes) and log into the AOL username account (it will change to a Store > Sign In option), and then do Store > View Account to view the account - you should be prompted to change it (you can't use an email address that is currently being as an account's primary email address)

OK,  I did this.  And my new apple ID works fine on my iphone.

However, when I try to log in to App Store, or I Tunes on my ipad, or on my mac, the login screen has m OLD apple ID.  And I cannot click into that box to change it....

Have tried every setting, and other avenue I can find.

How to I update my new apple ID on these other devices.

On your iPad log out of your account by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then log back in with the updated version of the account. On your Mac log out via the Store > Sign Out menu option, that will then change to a Store > Sign In option
