iCloud help?

Right so this complicated.


I have just created a new Apple ID for an iPad that I have just bought off of a friend.

I tried to log in to iCloud on my iPad and it said 'The maximum number of free accounts have been activated on this iPad'.

I thought 'OK fair enough, I will activate iCloud on my PC instead'.

So I went onto the Apple website, downloaded iCloud control panel and tried to sign in. It then said that I have a valid Apple ID but not an iCloud account.

After a bit of searching around I discovered that I could go onto iCloud.com and logged in there. It asked me to agree to the Terms and Conditions. So I did and it worked. So I must have an iClous account but the control panel seems to think otherwise.


P.S. I have rebooted my PC multiple times. No luck there.
