I do not believe Apple pre-installs Microsoft software on their computers. If it was installed when you got it, then someone had to install it.

Yes, Apple pre-installed MS Office for me as I ordered this MacBook Pro from Apple and it was shipped to me just as it is now. However, I've misplaced the documentation with the product key.
So if that is the case it should be noted on your Apple account.
