I can not open my iphoto application - not from the dock or from the finder. My mac is version 10.10.2 and iphoto is version 9.6.1. My problems started after my last update. I am currently not getting any error messages. I have tried opening it by holding down the Command and Open keys - no response.

Have you tried launching iPhoto with just the Option key held down or double clicking on the iPhoto Library package in your Pictures fodler. If those don't work move the iPhoto application to the Trash bin, don't empty yet, go to the App Store and download again.

The option key does not help. I put the application into the trash and tried to download a new copy but I can't - it has me confused with my husband's apple id. Maybe my problem is here - do you know how to resolve account confusion?

Go to the App Store and sign out. Then sign back in with your Apple ID.
