Can I make and gift a playlist without already owning the songs myself?

I am aware that I can gift individual songs but I want to make a playlist for someone and gift the whole thing to them. I believe you can make a playlist in your iTunes library and gift that but I don't already own all of the songs I want to gift. Any help?
