how to get Nano to trust MacMini & add Nano as managed device onto my MacMini.

Bought iPod Nano along with new MacMini last week. Mac has gotten all iCloud music but despite selecting sync settings to copy all music to Nano, no music is on device-- only on the Mac in iTunes. I saw that the Nano has to be trusted but I can't find where on the Nano to "accept" or "trust" between the Nano and the new Mac. The Nano radio works, but I can't get my iCloud music. Haven't even tried to sync podcast but it's the music I want on the Nano not podcasts.
