My iphone4s has 13 pictures on it and 4 minutes of video. It won't let me take any more pictures. It says "there is not enough available storage to take a photo". I used to have almost 100 pictures on my camera. What happened?

My IPhone 4s is telling me "there is not enough available storage to take a photo. I have 13 photos and 4 minutes of video. I used to have 90 photos. Why is this happening?
