if i turn off imessage on my phone will it stop from my family members with the same apple id receiving my messages?

i created another apple id but it denies it because it is "incorrect" which it isnt. so if i turn off imessage on my phone will it stop my family member receiving my messages? and yes, i did change the receive and send options to my number only.
