Cannot update iOS apps

Question

Cannot update iOS apps

When I've gone to the iOS App Store on my iPhone 6+ today I have a list of apps (nine of them) showing up on the "update" pane, but the "update" button flips to "open" after about one second. I tried restarting the app - same thing. I tried restarting the phone - same thing. I tried updating to iOS 8.2. Same thing. Any ideas?

Right now I'm just hoping it'll be working tomorrow. There is one app I actually WANT to update that I know is available but doesn't appear on the list as well.

I was able to update apps by updating them on my Mac and then synching. Oddly enough, sometime later today normal "App Store" app behavior has resumed. It was just rather later than when the system status page showed things were fixed.

Well..... I thought it was fixed. It's broken again now. I was able to update four apps about an hour ago, but the two I didn't choose to do then are flipping from "update" to "open" as yesterday. I see on MacRumors I am not alone.... *sigh*

I initially thought it was fixed as well after I did the work-around I mentioned here:

But after about 1/2 hour, it's back to being broken. The issue seems to come and go at will. Hopefully, Apple can get this nonsense resolved in a decent time frame.
