We use a Iphone 5 for our employees on demand. To be safe that the Phone is charged 100% we connect it to the charger the whole day long. Could this damage the Phone f.e. the battery?

The charging circuitry has a shutoff that kicks in when the battery reaches 100%. If the battery trickles down to 93-95% the circuit starts up again and tops up the battery.
Leaving the device plugged in will not damage the battery.
Could my Iphone 5 get damaged when it´s connected to the Charger the whole day? (to be safe it´s at 100% when it´s needed)?
