When mirroring an iMac onto a TV using Airplay via Apple TV, is it possible to send the audio to Airplay enabled speakers instead of using the TV's speakers? This potentially means that one could have surround sound whilst mirroring the screen onto the TV.

If the speakers are airplay enabled then you can just set the audio output via the Apple TV settings
When Mirroring, you can select the output you want, but it hasn't been pushing the audio as intended for me. Only ATV apps push the audio correctly in that circumstance. I've tried changing the output on the Mac as well, but then drops the Mirroring and only pushes audio. Seems we can't have both....??
