IPhone 5c clock shows wrong time/stops, phone freezing/screen locking and phone shows it is charging when not connect to a charger

Recently updated IPhone 5C and now the clock does not work Or shows wrong time, the phone shows it is charging when it isn't connected to a charger and freezes up. Do a soft reset (pressing home button and top button) will work for about 10 minutes before issues start again.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Just came back from the Geniuses store, there is nothing I can do to reset this function,it is a problem within the Iphone itself. I need to fixor replacement .There is nothing then can do , it is like the bios failure on a computer in the phone.
