Is it possible, that replacing the the charging dock/board and microphone, that my iPhone 4S is no longer unlocked? Seems only to work on Vodafone again:-( Never had any other issues after unlock, and it always STAYED unlocked after updating iTunes and phone OS?

Unlocking a phone is done by altering the software, not hardware. And, opening the iPhone will void the warranty and service options from Apple, in case you'll have to get your device replaced, you would have to pay the full price for that same model, instead of the reduced Out-Of-Warranty-Servcie fee, because Apple will not service that opened device anymore.
its been out of warruntee for years! Why else might the 'unlock' fail?

Did you check the SIM? But, since you have changed the motherboard as well, there might have been some relevant information stored on it, which is now missing.
And, since you have tried to fix the phone yourself, Apple will not service it anymore, sorry.

Bro,
You MUST contact the carrier the iPhone is locked to.
They ae the only ones who can legitimately unlock a phone.
