iPad Contacts - copy paste

I use the Notes section a lot in the Contacts application (iPad).

The copy paste function is still not working. When I type a note in the iPad Contacts application and select some text, select Copy, then Paste; I get a previous paste (-1) result, not the most recent copy result I am expecting.

Try "Normal" and "Modify" modes of editing "Notes" in the Contacts application.

There are a lot of little things like this that just make the basic apps broken. Quality control needs to be #1.
