How to Free up disk space on Macbook Snow Leopard 10.6

Drag things you no longer need or use to the trash, empty the trash. Don't drag anything unless you know what it is, you can damage OS X by deleting system files.

Move large files, typically photos, videos and music to an external hard drive. You'll need to tell iTunes and iPhoto where to find their libraries.

Or replace the hard disk with a larger capacity drive or SSD.
