I have downloaded videos from my iphone 6 to my PC (windows 8) but when I attempt to play the videos it crashes my PC. Sometimes even just hovering over the video crashes it. My wife has an iphone 4 and experiences exactly the same problem.

I have exactly the same problem with videos I have taken on my iPhone 5. My laptop is Windows 8.1.
What are you using (software) to play them ? Maybe you should install the latest version of Quicktime.
Thanks Dilbert. Tried that but like I say the problem begins before I even attempt to play the video. I just have to hover my cursor over the video and it crashes. Happens on both mine and my wife's laptops
