"Not charging" problem

"Not charging" problem

My dad just bought a new charger but when I connect it to my iPad it appears "not charging" next to the battery icon... I just left it connected all night long and the next morning the battery was a 100% charged. I want to know if doing this will affect my iPad, if it is bad for the battery or something like that since it actually appears the "not charging" thing...

The charger most likely does not provide the amount of power expected by the iPad. The iPad will charge but not as efficiently as if your used the Apple charger that came with it. Using the weaker charger will not harm the iPad. It will just take longer to charge and you will see the "Not Charging" message.
