Thunderbolt Is this the wrong product too drag n drop from HP to MacAir?

Is this the wrong Thunderbolt that I have? Maybe? I was sold a "Thunderbolt to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter" to transfer (Drag and Drop) the iTunes library from Windows HP Laptop to MacAir. It just doesn't work.

I can get a code to connect the two laptops, but it does not show any windows on mac for me to Drag and Drop my library from HP to Mac. This is so frustrating after reading on line and following all suggestions. I finally transferred music through the network. I still need to transfer documents and other items but the network takes longer than the Thunderbolt is supposed to, I think. Lost here 🙂 I like both my Mac and my HP for different reasons! just want to learn this.

What is the Thunderbolt supposed to do? rrgh

Connect ThunderBolt accessories to your Mac.

It will also allow one Mac running in Target Mode to act a s a disk drive on another Mac.

That will not work with non-Apple hardware.

Try connecting them together with an ethernet cable.
