this is my 3rd iPhone upgrade, i.e 5s,6+ and now am at 6

when I brought 6 I got all my old data, contacts photo from icloud.

I was browsing the net which had articles how to increase icloud space by deleting old unused devices.

my current device hac all contacts etc, but the moment I deleted old devices from icloud, all my contacts etc got deleted

how can I retrieve the data of deleted devices from icloud

iPhone 6, iOS 8.2

Contacts are not part of the backup, the are saved differently.

You lost connection to the contacts.

Contacts commonly come from

iCloud (not the backup)

Email accounts

Social media, like FaceBook ....

CardDAV accounts

You will want to find where they came from and reconnect to the source.

Turn it off and back on.
