Age to buy an apple product at an Apple Store?

How old do you have to be to buy a MacBook Pro at an Apple Store without "parents"? (UK)

Yeah, you had a friend along with you who is 18 years old, thats the reason you could buy it. Also, it depends upon the staff whose assisting the person. Some staff members are very welcoming and some are very stringent with the rules. In your case it was the formal. Congrats on your new purchase...

I went and bought it and they did ask for student ID but only in order to apply a student discount. I'm 17 but I still got it 🙂 I went with my friend who's 18 just in case but I'm extremely happy and he gave me cheaper extended warranty.

The person should be at least 18 years of age to purchase an item (including MacBook Pro) without his/her parents in Apple retail store, UK.
