Does MAC Quicken 2015 work without tech support

I am confused about the MAC QUICKEN 2015??? AT Amazon.com it is about $50. I have also seen $75. Either of those prices do not run me away. HOWEVER, if you are a current MAC Quicken 2007 user and call Intuit about an upgrade price you are told that you also have to purchase a one year tech support program to actually get the file migrations to work. WHAT? WHAT? I have used Quicken, TurBoTAX and Willmaker for more than 25-years. IS it that hard, or is Intuit pitching us CRAP.....
