Lost all my songs on itunes & Ipod

Recently had new hard drive on laptop so I downloaded iTunes. Bought one new track and when trying to synch new song to ipod nano (2nd generation) I've mistakenly deleted everything from ipod and library. Only thing on iTunes library is the song I recently purchased. I have not knowingly backed anything up to icloud or similar.
