I have a iPhone4s, my WiFi button in setting stays gray and can not be turned on? I have reset the phone to manufacture setting and updated OS to 8.2 and still does not work, any ideas

Thanks, But I did all that was suggested in that link, as it was mentioned, and it did not work.
I can connect to internet through my phone service provider and data plan but WiFi button in setting stays gray and can not be turned on..... Any other ideas?

Follow the last suggestion to contact Apple. Most likely you have a hardware failure.
