I updated my iPad and it wouldn't let me get through the set up section for ages. it wouldn't let me not put a password so after about the 20th try it accepted a password which i stupidly forgot. now i'm trying to restore it but my iTunes wont recognize it. tried to put it in recovery mode but that hasn't worked either. please can anyone help me with this?

Hi Turn off iPad Connect lead to USB on PC Press & hold power button don't let go Connect lead to iPad Keep power button pressed until PC sees ipad You may need to do this more than once. Cheers Brian
I've tried this. my laptop recognizes the iPad, however iTunes still does not.
i believe that because i had just updated it that it sees my laptop as unsafe. but i cant tell it to tryst my laptop as that only becomes an option once the ipad is unlocked.
i put to my ipad into recovery mode to restore it but itunes still doesnt recognize it?
