Error code -36 when trying to install steam

I've recently wiped my hard drive and reinstalled Mac OS X 10.6.4. When ever i try to move steam to me applications folder it gives me the -36 error code.

I have had a look at other post and it pointing me towards that my hard drive is broken or corrupt. Does anyone one know what I should do to fix this?
