iOS 8.2 gestures still flaky

Previously under iOS 8.1, Gesture control on the iPad AIr 2 or iPad 4, was too unreliable to be of any use, working some times and not others. In the end I just turned it off and used the home button.

Originally the problem with Gestures seemed to work fine if was running any apps, yet if none where running, then the 4 finger up-swipe didn't work. If the home button was pressed twice fast it would work, which doesn't surprise me as this is primarily an iPhone OS, and the iPad is just an after thought.

However, with the introduction of iOS 8.2 all seemed better, till last night when the old problems resurfaced. Has anyone else seen the problems with gesture support under iOS 8.2 resurface yet?
