hi i m going out from United Statesfor 6 months,my iphone 6 is on contract with verizon, so can i able to acess the local sim card in India?

or there is any need to unlock the iphone 6 ?? or to break the contract?

The iPhones that Verizon sells are unlocked so you'll be able to use your phone with a local SIM. However, you may want to contact Verizon's customer service and arrange to have your line suspended to stat you're not paying for service you're not using while you're gone.
