No ideas really, but are you streaming the podcast or has it already downloaded?

I think it was coming from the cloud because it was from a radio broadcast from Friday.
I suppose it is possible that if you are streaming, and the stream gets interrupted, that iTunes might skip to the next episode that it would play as if the episode had ended normally. I always download my podcast episodes so I don't have any experience to go on.

That seem plausible. Next time I will try to download the podcast first before attempting to listen. Thanks for your help.
