iMac can't see wireless printer Epson XP-625

Hi,

I've just bought an Epson XP-625 and after trying various things my iMac (10.10.2) still can't connect to it over wireless.I have checked my router (BT HomeHub 3) and the printer is connected in the list of wireless devices but still my iMac can't connect to it. I've tried various things including turning off the Mac firewall, adding the Epson connect software to the firewall to allow incoming connections but still no joy.

Just to confuse me more I am able to use the Epson email print so it seems the printer is on the air, just my Mac can't see it.

Any help would be much appreciated (assuming my ramblings above make sense)

You likely are not following the directions. You can always call AppleCare (free if you have AppleCare coverage) or simply pay for the incident.

I don't think this is a Mac OS problem as I have Windows 7 installed via boot camp and this has the same problem in that it can't see the printer. I need to keep digging

Hurray, sorted. I simply restored the settings to default and started again, the Mac (not tried on the Windows partition yet) can now see the printer as can my iPad and can now print via AirPrint. All it took was a good nights sleep :-)
