iPad mini keyboard keeps popping up

i gave my mom an iPad mini with games loaded , she has NO internet. Months later, she now says the keyboard suddenly pops up all the time In the middle of games. I had her turn the iPad on and off, as well as use the button in lower right corner, which turned keyboard off for a few seconds only. Any thoughts?

I too have that problem but use a bluetooth keyboard, sometimes there is a grey keyboard that appears, it doesn't seem to type anything onscreen or react to anything.

To get rid of it I have to swipe diagonally on the homescreen to open the search function then close it which makes the keyboard disappear.
