Facebook notification takes ever to open on wifi.. works alright over cellular data. Also similar problem with youtube.. tried power reset, remove/reinstall app/resetting network setting, but no luck.

First, to isolate the problem download the free app speedtest.net to see if it affects the device or the specific apps.
Does this happen on all networks, or only on your home network? Try rebooting your router if this only occurs on your home network. After that, try changing the channel number on the router in case it is interference from other nearby routers. (Rebooting some newer routers will initiate an automatic search for the best channel).
If it happens on all networks go to Settings/General/Reset and tap Reset network settings. This will require reëntering WiFi passwords, but will not result in any data loss.

Thanks for the reply... I used tethering from another phone instead of home wifi and facebook worked well... so, the problem was tracked down to the router.. read in some other thread there is issue with ipv6; so disabled IPv6 in my router and everything is working fine now
