Hi Polarbear64,

It may help to force close all open apps, then reset your iPhone.

Force an app to close in iOS

Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset

If you're still seeing mismatching numbers for Photos on your iPhone, the next step would be to reinstall iOS on your device by placing it in Recovery Mode, then choosing Update in iTunes.

  1. Make sure that you have iTunes 12 or later on your computer.
  2. Put your device in recovery mode.
  3. When you get the option to restore or update, select Update. This will reinstall iOS without erasing your data.

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch doesn't respond or doesn't turn onhttps://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201412

Allen

Thanks! Wish I had gotten your reply before waiting 2.5 hours in line for a "genius bar" tech at Apple store. He barely listened to my question before half way backing up my contacts and restoring my phone and me losing half of my 712 contacts and voice mail. UGH.... Easy fix and he learned nothing and didn't care to begin with. If they don't know and they usually don't - zap it and start over.
