We had a power surge, and my Airport Time Capsule light is stuck on Amber. I have tried to change ether net cable, with no success. It feeds from a verizon modem that is currently working, tried a reset that did not seem to do anything……….is it fried or am I missing something? Thoughts?

Remove the power cables from your modem and the Time Capsule. Wait at least one minute then connect power to the modem. Wait until the modem status lights indicate connection to your ISP. Now connect the power cable to the Time Capsule and wait for it to go through the sync up with the modem.
Unfortunately, a solid amber light is an indication of one of two things, or both things.....all bad. You can try another reset, or powering off the Time Capsule for a few minutes and then trying to power it back up, but more than likely one of two items below, or both has occurred.
1) A power supply has failed inside the Time Capsule
2) The hard drive has failed inside the Time Capsule
