I have a Bose soundtouch 20. I want to purchase the iPod nano 7th generation, but was not sure if it is compatible with the sound touch. It is bluetooth enabled, but would rather have some reassurance that it can be paired/connected before I go out to purchase a new iPod.

My 7g nano works fine with a range of Bluetooth devices - Amazon portable speakers, Amazon Bluetooth hi-fi adapter, Vizio soundbar, ... Best bet, though, is to find a store that sells both and get them to demonstrate that they work together.

Thanks for your input. I figured it was best to ask as well. I will more than likely go down to Bose and ask them, because they would know without a doubt, than say, the employees at Best Buy.
I would assume that any product vendor will say "yes" to such questions. You either need someone with the same equipment to confirm that the combination works, or have someone show you that it works.
Bluetooth is an independent standard. As long as the Bose supports the Bluetooth A2DP (Stereo Bluetooth) profile it will work. And the Bose does support it.
No, they aren't compatible. I have the Soundtouch 20, it's a wifi device, and the iPod 7g is a Bluetooth device.
Too bad my wife read this well-intended but inconclusive thread before she bought it for our son, he's bummed!
SoundTouch is WiFi.
SoundLink is Bluetooth.
They are both wireless. This is where the confusion begins. Know which wireless you are referring to.
