What does error code 4MEM/62/40000000: 0x8276f390 mean:

Hello guys. Just did a hardware test and the above code came up. Saw other threads with ALMOST the same numbers and they were all referring to memory. Can this one mean the same and what would be next step? Thank you.

You have defective RAM installed. That means you need to replace it. Reliable vendors are: OWC, DataMem, and Crucial.com.

Great. can you tell what will be the minimum amount of loops for testing. I have it now on 256 and it's taking a lot of time for 1 loop.

You will not want to run 256 loops unless you want to get old just watching it. As I said, let it run overnight and see what you get. As best I can remember, 8-10 loops will be sufficient.

Ciao.

I have a similar problem: the test hardware , applied to for my iMac 27 " model spring 2011 , gives the following result : error 4MEM / 62/40000000 : 0x88944d98, when applied with two memories 8 G unoriginal.

What does it mean? What can I do to find out which memory is not working ?

To avoid further problems , I put back the two original memories ( 2 + 2 Giga ) .

Thanks for your help, best regard,

You can test by taking one 4 GB module and placing it in one bat at a time and see what the test develops. Do that with both modules. That should provide a clue if the problem is with one module or a bay.

Another option is to download REMBER and run it overnight so that sufficient loops are executed:
