Can Not Connect To My Computer....Please Help!!!

I connected my refurbished iphone 6 plus to my apple computer so I can sync my songs and this popped up



"ITUNES COULD NOT CONNECT TO THE IPHONE "IPHONE Q-ROCK" BECAUSE THE DEVICE TIMED OUT"


Can anyone please help me with this and tell me just what the **** this means!!! iTunes is not recognizing my phone on the computer.

iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2010), Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it sounds like the device is not communicating with iTunes. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.
