beaglebone black

Hi,

I am trying to ssh into my beaglebone black, as well, get to the starting page on the beaglebone's web server.

I installed the serial ftdi driver (http://beagleboard.org/static/Drivers/MacOSX/FTDI/EnergiaFTDIDrivers2.2.18.pkg as well as the network horndis driver (http://beagleboard.org/static/Drivers/MacOSX/RNDIS/HoRNDIS.pkg)

I set up the network connnection on system preferencesUser uploaded file

runing arp -a, i get

Peters-MacBook-Pro:fd shimon$ arp -a

? (192.168.0.1) at 14:cf:e2:a4:40:e7 on en0 ifscope [ethernet]

? (192.168.0.5) at 2c:b4:3a:28:fa:b3 on en0 ifscope [ethernet]

? (192.168.0.255) at ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff on en0 ifscope [ethernet]

? (192.168.255.255) at ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff on en5 ifscope [ethernet]

Where en5 is my usb port attached to the beaglebone, and 192.168.7.2, is the IP address.

I get this running ifconfig:

en5: flags=8863<UP,BROADCAST,SMART,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1486

ether d0:5f:b8:ef:ff:b9

inet6 fe80::d25f:b8ff:feef:ffb9%en5 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0xa

inet 192.168.7.2 netmask 0xffff0000 broadcast 192.168.255.255

nd6 options=1<PERFORMNUD>

media: autoselect (<unknown type>)

runing ssh I get:

Peters-MacBook-Pro:fd shimon$ ssh -l root 192.168.7.2

ssh: connect to host 192.168.7.2 port 22: Connection refused

When putting "192.168.7.2" in my chrome web browser it says "Web page not available."

Can anyone help me.

Thanks,

Peter
