I have old I POD not set from my pc how do down load so I can put on new I POD

I have a old IPOD one of the first ones,the music was set from a different computer! How do I down load to my computer so I can put it on a new I POD before the old one crashes?

Only music purchased from the iTunes Store may be transferried from an iPod to a computer. See this article for reference -

iTunes: Transferring media from your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or iPod - Apple Support

If there is such music on the iPod, you can use iTunes to complete the transfer. This article tells how -
